The Echo Australia conference is a three day workshop and symposium. It is organised by a collaboration involving The Prince Charles Hospital Echocardiography Department in Brisbane and the Mayo Clinic. It has been running on a yearly basis for 8 years.
The conference focuses on current uses and limitations of two-dimensional echocardiography, spectral Doppler, and colour flow imaging in the assessment of adult cardiac disease. It also contains 'how to' interactive workshops. Towards the end of the conference, there is a presentation of "Case of the Year" which is based on cases presented by the delegates who attend the conference.
